Wines
Below are the descriptions and flavors you can expect from our wines – but
remember, no two bottles are exactly alike from year to year as Nature’s vagary
dictates the annual vintage character in each.
Cheval Blanc
A dry, barrel-aged wine made from the Chardonel grape, Cheval Blanc is a medium-bodied
wine with a luscious full-fruit bouquet complemented by soft vanilla oak. A perfectly
balance wine – it pairs beautifully with seafood, light pasta dishes, and
mild to medium cheeses.
Chardonel
Chardonel, child of the Chardonnay grape variety, is gaining popularity as a crisp,
clean vintage distinctive of its famed parentage but friendlier on the palate. This
well balance wine has oak subtlety that adds complexity to its slightly acidic fruit
character. Serve chilled with sharp or mellow cheeses, and as an accompaniment to
simple fish, chicken, and lighter meat dishes.
Viognier
Viognier is a favorite among wine connoisseurs. This delightfully light Oklahoma
wine has tropical fruit undertones, citrus aromas and flavors with bouncy and vibrant
character than complements many foods. Enjoy it with fresh fruit, smoked cheese
and your favorite salad or pasta dish.
Terre Rouge
Named for native Oklahoma red earth, Terre Rouge is a soft dry red wine with intense
fruit character and pleasing aromas reminiscent of fresh-picked berries. Hints of
oak will remind you of crisp fall days and friendly gatherings. Terre Rouge is best
when enjoyed as part of everyday life or while relaxing with family and friends.
Serve at cellar temperature (55-60 degrees) will grilled meats, cream sauces, and
cheeses.
Cynthiana
Cynthiana is a Native American wine grape discovered separately in Virginia, named
Norton, and in Arkansas, where it was named Cynthiana. Its illustrious heritage
includes gold medals at the 1896 World’s Fair and service of our country in
Ulysses S. Grant’s White House wine cellar. Aged in select American Oak, Cynthiana
combines cherry, licorice, blueberry, and cranberry flavors with spicy clove and
a hint of cinnamon. Enjoy America’s heritage with friends, grill meats, and
good barbeque.
V
The successor to Stone Bluff Vignoles, “V” is sweet, light, and fruity
with hints of apple, pear, grapefruit, and orange honey. Perfect anytime with friends
and family. Chill to 40-50°, serve with appetizers or as a refreshing complement
to spicy dishes with dinner.
Maria
Stone Bluff Maria is a light, semi-sweet wine filled with cherry and plum flavors
. . . a truly charming perspective on red wine. When served chilled or at cellar
temperature (55-60°), Maria is simply meant to be enjoyed. Any way you like
it is perfectly fine!
LuLu
Sweet and sexy with essences of blackberry, raspberry, and cherry. She’ll make you the evening’s Star while seducing your friends.
Royale
A Spectacular Dessert Wine made from blackberries and Cynthiana wine grapes, Royale
has full-bodied flavors with hints of blackberries, bing cherry, and plum. Paired
with a decadent chocolate or berry dessert, the combination is sublime.
Soleil
A sweet dessert wine, Soleil is the essence of summer’s bounty itself. Perfectly
sun-ripened Estate-grown fruit kisses the wine with its fragrant bouquet. Stone
Bluff’s Soleil is perfect with chocolate and vanilla deserts, most berries,
fresh fruit and cheeses. Best served slightly chilled.
Cynthiana
Port
Individually selected hand picked clusters with concentrated fruit were carefully
fermented with only free-run juice at 10 brix, then used to create this limited
edition vintage port that was barrel aged for 18 months. Stirred lees and minimal
racking add to complexity. Some may prefer decanting when serving. Destined to gather
strength, body and fullness, the plum, strawberry, blueberry, raisin and cherry
notes will be enjoyable for years to come.
